National Service Scheme is a National Scheme sponsored by youth affairs & sports deptt. of HRDM , New Delhi to develop the personality of students through social services. The N.S.S. unit had been started in the Govt. P. G. College Gadarwara session 1976 – 77 . At present single boy’s unit of NSS strength allocated – 100 is working in the college . The no. of students registered for the session 2004 – 05 is 139. Mr. M. K. Sinha, Asst. Prof. ( Economics ) is working as programme officer (NSS) since 31st July 2001.
Qualification for Admission-
A regular student of the college interested in social services, but not admitted in NCC.
‘B’ Certificate -
Completing 240 work hrs. under regular activities during two consecutive years by the student registered in NSS unit of the college. ( 120 hrs. Minimums for the NSS ‘A’ certificate holder )
‘C’ Certificate -
1- Completing 120 work hrs. under regular activities by as NSS ‘B’ certificate holder. Besides it following two conditions should also be fulfilled.
2- To assist P.O. in organizing 10 days special camp and other important activities of the unit.
3- A project report of 20 to 30 typed pages related with the social relevance of the work done by the student himself.
